Project overview

A focused digital project built for clarity, trust and action.

Hotel Le Grand Chalet is a digital experience for a family-run four-star boutique hotel above Gstaad. The project turns rooms, dining, wine, wellness, and the hotel's long-standing reputation into a calm, premium booking journey.

The goal was to make the offer easier to understand, present the work with stronger context and create a smoother path from first impression to contact, inquiry, booking or product evaluation.

This project page is also part of the Panic Digital SEO structure: it gives Google a clear URL, descriptive content, structured data, internal links and a relevant next step for visitors who want a similar website or web application.

The brief was not to make the hotel louder. It was to make its heritage, setting, dining, and hospitality feel as considered online as they do in person.

The thinking behind the work

The brief

Make the website feel like a considered hotel stay, not a booking template.

The hotel combines rooms and suites, three-toque dining, an extensive wine cellar, and a private wellness retreat. The experience needed to hold all of that without overwhelming a guest who is simply deciding whether this is the right place to stay.

Design direction

Full-bleed alpine photography, warm gold accents, and heritage-led typography.

The homepage opens with the hotel in its valley, then places the most meaningful credentials in a dark glass panel. Generous spacing and large photography let the rooms, dining, cellar, and wellness offer feel closer to a printed hotel book than a generic travel site.

  • Booking calls to action at natural decision points.
  • A single visual language across accommodation, dining, and wellness.
  • Responsive layouts that preserve the editorial feeling on mobile.

Outcome

A premium digital introduction that earns the next booking click.

The result is intentionally calm: guests understand the hotel's character and credentials before being asked to make a reservation.
